Verdi
Kaia Seashell Bucket Bag (Gold)
CAUGHT OUR EYE
For decades, an indigenous group in northern Colombia have knit by hand a bag that bears their name but have now become part of the country's wider tradition: la mochila Wayúu. Verdi's version replaces cotton and magüey with plantain and metals, which give them an unexpected sheen —this model in particular features an intricate seashell pattern featuring gold-plated copper.

SHARING IS CARING
Each bucket bag is woven by hand by a master craftsperson —and it takes them close to four days to finish one. So, while you are indeed buying a product that will endure the test of time, make sure you honor the time it took to bring it to life, and care for it accordingly.
